Fisher Price Loving Family Dollhouse
The best dollhouse for the money. It unlocked my girls' imaginations (and mine too).

I have a confession. I'm too old to play with my daughter's toys. But I absolutely love their dollhouse.
The Fisher Price Loving Family Dollhouse is something I would have loved playing with growing up. When we got it for our two girls (then ages 2 and 5) after reading all the positive reviews, they squealed with delight. A truly priceless moment.
The dollhouse has an elegant, Victorian architecture (I guess I'm a romantic at heart) in soft pink and green colors. The walls conveniently swivel open to reveal 8 rooms—4 in the middle (bottom floor is 2 rooms deep) and 2 on each side. When not in use, you can close it up and it doesn't take up a lot of space.
We got the Grand Dollhouse Super Set which, in my opinion, is the best value because you get a bunch of furniture and accessories to start with (it'll cost you more to buy those separately) and a family of five (yep, one more kid than the standard set—surprise, honey!). The room furniture/appliances included: kitchen, dining room, parents' bedroom, big sister's bedroom, nursery for twins and bathroom. (You won't get all this in the standard dollhouse set.)
The Fisher Price Loving Family Dollhouse gives my girls hours of imaginary playtime. It's so funny how they mimic everyday household activities in their dollhouse. And I find myself swept into their imaginary home as I crawl down taking pictures of them playing.
C'mon, take a glimpse...
Kitchen
| The coffee pot, telephone, and stovetop pot can be moved around (but they're attached by string so you can't lose 'em). |
| Fresh cupcakes right out of the oven! The oven door opens and lights up. Press the button on the stovetop and you'll hear different sounds such as: water boiling, food frying, phone ringing, oven timer, etc. |
| Open the dishwasher and you have clean dishes! (Wish it was always like that in real life.) |
| The refrigerator doors open to reveal removable food and a sliding vegetable drawer. Only healthy food here, folks! |
Dining Room
| The table comes with two chairs and two removable child booster seats with trays. Baby brother is always taking off his bib! |
| Note the level of detail. Apple, muffin and milk. And jewelry box? |
| There's also a tandem high chair for the baby twins. Dad is such a good helper (some of the time). |
| Baby brother and sister love to eat. Mmmm...Cheerios! |
Nursery
| There's a rocking chair, a changing dresser, and two cribs (his and hers). |
| Ssshhh...they're finally asleep! |
| Press down on the changing pad and the lamp lights up while nursery music plays. |
| Hey, don't climb on the furniture! |
Bathroom
| The bathroom set comes with a sink, toilet, shower, potty chair and rug. Under the counter there's a pull-out stepstool for big sis and a hamper to throw in the towel. |
| The toilet comes with a bowl cleaning brush. (Mom always says that is Dad's job.) |
| Always wash your hands! |
| Baby learns how to go potty. You can do it! |
Big Sister's Room
| Big sis has a matching daybed and easy chair and nightstand. |
| The cushion of the chair folds out to rest her feet. |
Parents' Bedroom
| Okay, kids, you stay away. We're trying to rest! |
| Now, where is my favorite argyle sweater? |
| Mom's nice, cozy robe...to be worn after a hard day with the kids. (She wears it every night.) |
Staircase
| The dollhouse comes with a staircase that snaps into the floor and reaches the 2nd floor. It looks nice, but it really takes up a lot of space. If you want to free up space so you can add more furniture or at least not have to keep reaching behind the staircase, I recommend you do not snap that in. If you do snap it in and change your mind later (like we did), it's really hard to snap it back out. |
I hope you enjoy the tour of my, I mean, our girls' Fisher Price dollhouse. I think it's the best dollhouse ever! And lots of parents agree.
